Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments available today, offering a safe and effective way to restore volume, smooth fine lines, and enhance natural features. Whether you’re looking to rejuvenate aging skin or add subtle definition, dermal fillers can help you achieve a refreshed, youthful appearance with minimal downtime.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are soft, gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and enhance facial contours. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps retain moisture and keep skin plump and hydrated. Hyaluronic acid fillers are temporary, lasting anywhere from 6 to 18 months, depending on the area treated and the type of filler used.
What can Dermal Fillers treat?
Dermal fillers are versatile and can address a wide range of concerns, including
- Nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to mouth)
- Marionette lines (lines from the mouth to chin)
- Thin or uneven lips
- Sunken cheeks or temples
- Jawline and chin contouring
- Necklace lines on neck
What to expect during treatment
The procedure typically takes 45–60 minutes. After a consultation to discuss your goals, the area will be cleansed and in some areas numbing cream will be applied to minimise discomfort. The filler is then injected with a fine needle or cannula. You may feel a slight pinch or pressure, but the procedure is generally well tolerated.
Results
There is little to no downtime with dermal fillers. You might experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which usually subsides within a few days. Most clients see immediate results, with full effects visible once any swelling has resolved.
Are Dermal Fillers safe?
When performed by a qualified and experienced professional, dermal fillers are considered very safe. At our clinic, we use only premium hylaluronic acid dermal filler products and adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Your practitioner will also assess your medical history and discuss any potential risks during your consultation.
